When Bournemouth’s most bangin’ burgers needed a new set of wheels the IH team were on hand to deliver The Street Kings a food truck worthy of their royal name.
From the Summer of 2022 onwards, Bournemouth’s Burger scene would never be the same as www.thestreetkings.co.uk took their place on top of the South Coast’s burger throne with their drool-inducing combo of smashed patties, loaded fries and ice cream milk shakes.

Returning to hit the roads for the Summer of 2023, The Kings found themselves in need of a larger unit to deal with their ever-growing popularity. Luckily the IH team were on hand to renovate, rebrand and deliver!
Having set their sights on a shall we say ‘in need of some love’ 1977 GMC Step Truck from the guys at Morgan Classics & Customs, the boys behind The Street Kings were ready to handover the keys and let our talented team get to work.
First things first, it was time to completely renovate the interior. This included stripping and ripping the rusted furnishings, replacing the windscreens and fitting all new electrics. With the truck now a neutral shell, we enlisted the expert team at BuildBox to build a bespoke kitchen unit for the truck, specifically tailored to The Street Kings’ requirements. As leaders in their field, we could not have been happier with the counters, sinks and fridge units that would be pivotal in helping the team deliver throughout their busy Summer residencies.

Interior bought up to standard, it was time for the fun part – giving the exterior of the truck a Hollywood makeover with the team at Premier Sports Customs. Replacing the rusted exterior, we incorporated the Kings’ all-new Gold, Black and White colour scheme throughout the exterior. Around the wheel arches, a gloss metallic black trim was added to keep the truck in line with the brand whilst at the same time ensuring easy cleaning for its life on the road. Meanwhile we added a splash of colour to its vanilla base with a gold strip added to the waist line of the truck.

Two A1 frames were then added either side of the serving hatch to give the Kings the perfect customer facing menu points. Alongside the frames, we contacted our friends at ThinkSigns with a custom set of Vinyl stickers – ready for them to be applied and complete the makeover!
With the truck now ready to go, there was only one thing left for the team to do…head on down and tuck in to their delicious burgers, fries and shakes!
